About Connect Groups

Where the crowd becomes family

The bigger our church becomes the more important it is for every single person to connect with a small group of people. Connect Groups are an essential part of life at City Church and are the best way to meet new people and get connected - especially if you're new to us. In Connect Groups you can be effectively pastored and cared for in a supportive environment, whilst still being involved in a large, growing church.

How to find a Connect Group

Get in touch with the Connect Group Coordinator (Details above), and they'll help you find a connect group that's right for you.

Before you look for a Connect Group, it's worth noting the following:

  1. Keep an open mind. Don't get discouraged if you don't find the group you are looking first time - you don't have to join the first one that you attend. In fact we recommend that you visit a few different varieties of groups before you choose one that you want to stay in.
  2. Get advice from your department or regional pastor. They know all of the Connect Group leaders well and can easily recommend a group that may suit you.
  3. Feel free to ring around. Talk to a few different Connect Group leaders. Ask them what style of group they run, when and where.
  4. Consider a volunteer Connect Group. All of our volunteer areas operate as a Connect Group. For something different, try volunteering in a different area of the church.
  5. Remember we are here to help connect you with the right people. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact a member of our team.
